We love cake, it’s not secret and it really shouldn’t be a surprise. Don’t get me wrong, we love a standard three tiered vanilla sponge with all the fixings, however when it comes to an LK birthday there really is only one way to celebrate… chocolate, peanut butter or salted caramel (yum!) We aren’t fussy about what form our chocolate comes in, it can be stacked, raw, melted or in a cake, as long as it is smothered in peanut butter we are happy. However, for those of you who like to treat yourselves to something different, we have selected a few of our favourite bakes that won’t disappoint!
This is the dreamiest chocolate fudgey cake. There really is nothing more satisfying than tucking into a thick slice of rich chocolate cake with a big dollop of CoYo. I don’t know about you, but I cant wait for my next birthday!
If you haven’t picked up on a theme yet, we love anything with salted caramel. Thick, sticky, sweet and salty all combine to make the most delicious cake you could imagine, it is definitely my favourite non-chocolate cake. The caramelised bananas are the perfect topping to this moist, banana sponge, sandwiched with thick frosting and salted caramel sauce (I am salivating).
This is a classic birthday cake for anyone who loves peanut butter. As we all know, peanut butter and chocolate are the best of friends, there really isn’t anything that can beat it. So, when we decided to make a cake out of it, well there really wasn’t any room for error. This is definitely an LK favourite when it comes to birthdays, as everyone loves it!
Birthday brownies are a thing for a good reason! Brownies are bite sized chocolaty delights that never disappoint. We love any excuse for a brownie so we are more than happy to celebrate a birthday with a big stack of hot brownies. If this isn’t really your thing, go for a rich and fudgy raw frosted brownie, this is definitely a birthday treat!
Sticky, gooey, salty and sweet, need we say much more? This is the yummiest cupcake we have made (we are obsessed). This is the perfect birthday treat for anyone, children included! If you feel like trying something new and creative, why not bake this as a two big cakes and used the salted caramel as a creamy middle to sandwich them together (yum).
