These Banana Cacao Chia Breakfast pots are such a divine morning treat. They are creamy, chocolatey and sweet, what more can you ask for? I love soaking a big batch of oats on a Sunday night and then building the most delicious breakfast pot Monday morning. It really is the most perfect way to start the week! If you aren’t big on chocolate for breakfast, these also make a delicious post-workout / afternoon treat.
- 75g Jumbo Oats
- 200ml Water
- 80g Chia seeds
- 40g Cacao powder
- 60ml Maple syrup
- 100ml Almond milk
- 2 Ripe Bananas
- 5tbsp Peanut Butter
Soak the oats in the water over night.
The following morning mix together the chia seeds, maple syrup, cacao powder and almond milk and leave to rest for an hour.
At the same time mash up one of the bananas and mix this into the oat mixture.
After an hour place a layer of the oat and banana mixture in the bottom of a jar.
Next add a layer of the chia mix and then a layer of peanut butter.
Repeat this process until the jar is full.
Top with the final banana sliced and other toppings of your choice.
