We’ve pulled together a one-stop guide to 8 London fitness classes to try in 2018. It’s time to say goodbye to the traditional gym membership and hello to the studios offering London’s most innovative fun-paced workouts.

For those of you who follow my Instagram Stories you will know I am a huge BXR fan. The studio is renowned for their boxing classes, a 2017 trend that is only set to rise in 2018. There is nothing more satisfying than sweating out the stresses of the week at one of their boxing classes. The trainers at BXR are also some of the city’s most respected coaches and are often ex-champion or current professional boxers.
VersaClimber is high intensity cardio and endurance at its best. The VersaClimber is a machine that mimics the natural motion of climbing. It is low impact and and strengthening making it the perfect workout for building muscle strength without putting pressure on joints. I love challenging myself to increase the amount of steps I do each week.
Psycle London is my go-to spin destination and I can’t wait to try out their Barre 55 workout at their latest opened Shoreditch studio. I usually go to their Mortimer Street studio and I love it for their energetic playlists and instructors. I already know this barre class won’t let me down.
Third Space have created ‘The Method’ for women who are looking for more variety in their workout. This 45 minute, full body conditioning workout has been developed using simple resistance loop bands to sculpt and tone the arms, legs, glutes and core. If you want to feel serious burn and tone up every part of your body this is for you!
This West London studio is definitely one to try if you haven’t already. Their resistance workout consists of 45 minutes of TRX to work your whole body. I’m not going to lie, it is intense but so worth that satisfying burning feeling you get at the end. The aim of this workout is to build stamina and strength together.
Not for the traditional yogi, this Primal Vinyasa class at Another_Space in Covent Garden fuses yoga and HIIT for one hell of a sweaty workout. This class is perfect for all levels of ability and you can pay as you go with credits.
F45 is a simple concept offering over 27 different functional 45 minute workouts. Designed to recreate everyday movement, all workouts will help you move and perform better in all aspects of life. Romans is the ultimate full body calorie burning resistance workout. The workout consists of everything from battle rope slams to resistance runs and will be sure to leave you burning.
More and more gyms and studios in London are offering flexible membership options and Frame’s drop-in scheme is perfect for commitment phobes. This studio is a favourite among my elves. They love mixing up their classes at Frame and will switch between dance and pilates depending on their mood. Their favourite at the moment is the dance cardio workout. 45 minutes of dancing your heart out and exercising at the same time? What’s not to love!
